Vin Diesel was born in Alameda Country, California, with his fraternal twin brother, Paul. His mother’s name was Delora Sherleeb (nee Sinclair). She was an astrologer. He never met his biological father. He grew up in New York City with his American mother and African- American stepfather. His stepfather’s name was Irving H. Vincent who was an acting instructor and theater manager. In his teens, he worked as a club bouncer and took the name, Vin Diesel.

He appeared in a supporting role in the drama thriller Boiler Room in 2000. Then later that year he appeared as anti-hero Riddick in the film Pitch Black. Then he got huge success with two box office hits The Fast and The Furious (2001) and XXX (2002). The sequels of both of the films were released 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) and XXX: State of the Union (2005). He appeared in the comedy film The Pacifier which was a box office success in 2005.
After appearing in a few films he returns to the Fast and Furious series. In 2009 the film Fast and Furious was released with its original cast from the 2001 film The Fast and The Furious. Then he reprised his role as Dominic Torreto in the Fast and Furious franchise in Fast Five (2011), Fast and Furious 6 (2013), Furious 7 (2015), The Fate of the Furious (2017), and Furious 9 (2020).
Vin Diesel also reprised his role in XXX: Return of Xander Cage as Xander Cage in 2017. He also appeared in some other films also.
He voiced as Groot in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s films Guardian of the Galaxy and Guardian of Galaxy Vol:2 and Avengers infinity war and Avengers: End Game.
